Tell me again why Conservative Republicans can simultaneously argue: in support of tighter immigration laws, decreases in federal support for family planning, elimination of the right of choice for pregnant women, increased spending on national defense, prohibition against same-sex legal partnerships, opposition to any effort toward addressing climate change issues, support for increasing mining and consumption of fossil fuels, opposition to any efforts toward universal health care, opposition to any effort to mitigate the draconian criminal penalties for the recreational and medical use of marijuana, support for the extensive use of government contractors to replace Federal and State employees, opposition to any restrictions on high-risk financial entities, opposition to any federal funding for public broadcasting, assert the need for an increase of Judeo-Christian dogma in government and social endeavors, support for intrusive security practices at odds with traditional rights enumerated in our Constitution, and deny evidence that shows the failures of their professed economic, social, and moral principles.

Sorry, it does not compute…

The main problem with Einsteinian spirituality is mirrored in our politics: the over-whelming majority of people in the subject class are mentally incapable of understanding its constituent elements, and instead blindly accept statements, principles, and practices from their cohorts,even when these precepts work against the better interests of mankind in general, and themselves in particulars.

Bizmarts.com is offline due to a problem at our hosting service: Earthlink. The Urchin report shows the site has been having difficulties since May 1st, and has been functionally unreachable since May 11th – with zero connections. Users have been able to access some portions of the site: bizmarts.com/wordpress – but will run into connection issues after a few transits.

Even if you grant the veracity of every assertion made in this film – it changes nothing about the current theory for a “Big Bang” cosmology – it changes nothing regarding the birth of our solar system 4.5 billion years ago – it changes nothing about the origin of primitive life forms – it changes nothing we know from fossil evidence about the appearance, reign, and extinction of dinosaurs – and it doesn’t prove that creationism can even begin to explain, and detail with solid evidence, the life of our planet from its birth to its scheduled termination in less than 5 billion more years. All the film does is attempt to insert doubt into rational and scientific explorations of physical evidence from the past.

Update: May 8th: To help narrow down the issue I took my laptop, which failed to connect to any host via FTP using WS-FTP or FileZilla at my office, into town. I searched around to find an open WiFi, “Hot Spot”, site. I found three, all using Windstream for Internet connections. So I fired up each FTP client in separate windows…selected the same host, with the same info from my office…and…it connected, no problems.

Ok, so now I have to find an open Comcast WiFi hot-spot in town and see if it connects exactly as the Windstream connection.

Wanna take bets on the outcome?

Yeah, me too. I called Comcast, and after a long discussion both on Chat and by Phone, the agent said they “have a special group that addresses that issue”…she provided: (800)426-9400…which turns out to be: Microsoft

The Microsoft agent asked several questions; but informed me she could only help with Microsoft products. I said PING is a standard element of all MS operating systems. Sorry…can’t help with that.

I asked why Comcast would forward my concern to Microsoft, and she said probably for help with Outlook Express.

Wow! From FTP & PING access problem to Outlook Express! Imagine that…

Same issue here. Pinging also disallowed. And all this without warning. Throttling must have started this May 2012.
